This past weekend, Anakbayan Canada chapters expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people as by joining mobilizations across the country to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the 1948 Nakba (“Day of Catastrophe”) and celebrate the ongoing Palestinian resistance against illegal Israeli occupation. We echo the Palestinian peoples’ calls for the diaspora’s right to return and their overall liberation.
We call on all Anakbayan Canada chapters and Filipino youth in Canada to mobilize in solidarity with the Palestinian people on today’s Day of Action in Solidarity with the Palestinian Uprising and General Strike. To organize for the liberation of oppressed peoples everywhere, from Palestine to the Philippines, is to be on the right side of history! Condemn and fight imperialism around the world! Continue to push for justice and towards a free and liberated Palestine in our lifetime!
